Timothy Robinson
Chairman of the Board
Timothy is the founder and Chairman of Inspired to Help. In this role Timothy provides direction for the organization’s goals and strategies and works with the board to implement those plans.
Timothy has served as an Executive Board member of the Garland NAACP and is currently a member of the Garland Independent School Districts Multi-Ethnic Committee (MEC). The MEC meets to discuss topics covered in a Federal Court order related to educational issues and discrimination for the school district. Timothy’s motivation for starting Inspired to Help as well as his other volunteer endeavors is to continually try and find opportunities to strengthen the community and share blessings with neighbors who are in need.
Timothy is a lifelong Dallas area resident and has been with Blue Cross and Blue Shield for over 35 years. He is married with 3 daughters and 4 grandchildren. In his spare time, he has coached youth football and officiates high school basketball in the North Texas Chapter of officials and volunteers as a mentor in the youth program at his church.
Swan Lee
Vice Chairperson
Shawanna “Swan” Lee is the CEO and President of Swan 7 Productions, LLC (S7P). Swan 7 Productions, LLC is a single source solution for event planning and production management. For the past 15 years she has coordinated events across the country, honing her business services through a career in marketing, servant leadership and entrepreneurship.
Ms. Lee moved to Dallas from her native hometown of Champaign, IL, where she worked in media, production, and sales and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from the University of Illinois. She also attained a Master of Business Administration in December 2017 from the University of Dallas.
Ms. Lee continues to remain active in the Champaign- Urbana, IL and Dallas, TX community as a servant- leader. She serves as the Director of a local Champaign-Urbana, IL not-for-profit organization. The organization is one of Champaign’s largest groups, donating school supplies, awarding college scholarships, and providing resources to under-privileged youth
Terrance Walker
Treasurer
Terrance is the Treasurer of Inspired to Help & a founding member of the organization. His Inspired to Help responsibilities include financial operations oversight, organization-wide budgeting & forecasting and exploring new funding opportunities.
Terrance has held multiple leadership roles in the private financial sector, prior to transitioning to an Executive Leadership role in Information Technology. He has also served as a Executive Leader on multiple Board of Directors, where he passionately promotes community development, youth empowerment & improved social services.
Terrance holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana Technical University.
Lauri Kelley
Director, Corporate Giving
Lauri Kelley earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Studies from Texas Woman's University, where she developed skills in program development, grant writing and evaluation, and health promotion/education. Lauri completed her graduate studies in Healthcare Administration at the University of Texas at Tyler. Lauri is currently a Network Manager at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX). She works within a team that develops and curate’s provider networks for the plan.
Throughout her professional journey, Lauri developed a strong background in grant writing, program implementation, sponsorship, and grant management. Building relationships within the communities she serves has been one of the most rewarding aspects of her career.
Lauri loves giving back to the community and serves on several boards across the Dallas/Richardson area to support their missions. Currently, she is the chair-elect for the Richardson ISD Foundation in addition to the board work she does with Inspired to Help. Volunteering provides her with opportunities to assist others, which she is truly passionate about. She also is a volunteer for the Richardson Chamber of Commerce and the WISE Business Resource Group at BCBSTX.
Trey Giddings
Board Secretary
Trey Giddings, the organization's Secretary, is deeply committed to empowering the next generation. He believes it is crucial to guide young men in understanding the profound impact of self-presentation, as it opens doors to opportunities in dating, careers, and life in general. Trey’s values are rooted in authenticity; “I strive to be my true self in every situation, driven by a passion for the causes I care about.”
Trey spent his early years in DeSoto, Texas, later he moved to Mississippi, first to the Delta, then to Oxford, where he spent his young adult years. These diverse experiences shaped his worldview and laid the foundation for his future endeavors.
Trey has worked in the healthcare industry for the past twelve years. His personal interests have shifted over time, but he consistently and passionately enjoys being a “girl dad”, loving his daughter, teaching her, and watching her grow. He is an outdoors enthusiast who finds happiness in camping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and cooking. Trey currently resides in Plano, Texas.
DeMarques Cunningham
Project Development Director
DeMarques Cunningham specializes in website design and maintenance, and he is currently partners with numerous philanthropic organizations. DeMarques volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America as a Mentor, an Academic Advisor & a Volunteer. DeMarques is an Executive Board Member of TeamGrind.org, a non-profit consulting group that provides academic and sports training services to assist students in furthering their educational pursuits and to assist in enhancing athletic performance.
Over his career, DeMarques has served as President of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity – Eta Epsilon Chapter and as Graduate Advisor to the Fraternity. He served as Webmaster for the Dallas Chapter of the NAACP and volunteered in teaching computer courses with a Montessori school in the Frisco, TX area.
In his free time, he enjoys investing in Stock & Real Estate and using his knowledge and expertise to assist others with investment opportunities
Shoniqa Dotie
Director, Special Projects
Shoniqa provides administrative and technical support to the Inspired to Help Volunteer Teams. A native of Mississippi, Shoniqa has lived in the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the past 30 years.
She has developed a powerful sense of devotion for the non-profit sector as a beneficiary of informal youth development during her high school years. These experiences have given her a deep appreciation for working with those less fortunate and has led her to helping others through a non-profit organization she founded, A Blessing in Disguise, Inc.
Shoniqa is also a devoted Christian, who seeks to be led by biblical principles that govern her life and strongly influence her family. Shoniqa is the mother of two loving, teenage children..
